Gene Simmons tells it like it is on Israel

Gene for president !

The KISS Army is alive and well.

You have to have lived in a country in order to make policy that affects it? I guess it's a good thing we had those presidents who lived in Eastern Europe during the Cold War.

What glorious nonsense.

Anonymous said...

He tells it like it is. Obama is giving the Palestinians too much credit. There is absolute hatred for Israel among much of the Arab world.

Whoever controls the Golan Heights has the military advantage. Based on past activities which side do you think would use that advantage against the other?

Some international agreement has to be reached in order to attain a semblance of peace and safety in the region, but going back to the 1967 borders would be like giving the local gangs the keys to your house and trusting they wouldn't go in and steal anything.

Which Cold War President(s) unilaterally informed a Soviet proxy state that they must fall back to some previous arbitrary historical boundary to the advantage of their enemies? And what success did they have?

And now we're supposed to listen to advice from a rakehell? Kingfish, I grow weary of your granting sanction to anyone's view as long as it's anti-Obama. (I know that he pauses to praise Obama, but it is of the faint variety.) Now, if you tell me that this is some more of your jackassery, I take it all back.

Or you could offer equal time to someone equally witless, like Bono.

Gene is the man. Thanks for posting this!

Go ask the Fondren bitch for equal time a'hole.

But thanks for acknowledging KF's reach and influence.

OK Interns ,

Please close JJ and get back to work - NOW !

Donner K and Toddy just squealed to a halt in front of the building.

It might be best if ya'll go back to that KKK / ETV conspiracy story .

I think Bab's & Eddie are pissed that the Ladd's are running late for dinner.

And now we're supposed to listen to advice from a rakehell?

$5 gets you $10 that Burke voted for Billy Clinton.

He voted for HOPE and CHANGE and now he cannot understand why there is change.

The merits of Obama's proposal are irrelevant to the proposition that you have to have lived in Israel in order to mediate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

That said, you may have heard of West and East Germany.

Doesn't anyone know the position EVERY US President has taken in the last 30+ years on the borders? News flash...it's return to the 1967 borders.

Israel was unable to defend itself prior to 1967? The Golan Heights is hardly Tora Bora and " high ground" is less significant when you have an air force. Nine miles is hardly " indefensible". They have longer borders with their other hostile neighbors.

Do all Israelis support and agree with their current government leaders? NO. It is a myth that Israelis has a unified position on borders and a Palestinian state. The position Gene takes is the hardliner position that is not the majority opinion among THOSE WHO LIVE THERE.

Israel's newspapers are available in English online. Perhaps, Americans should read them occasionally .

Here come the naive leftists and anti-Semites. It was only a matter of time before the racist Jewish animus in Mississippi reared its ugly head again.

How bout Obama suggesting a precondition to negotiaions starts with the recognition of Israel's right to exist.

Anonymous said...

Oh,,, I see, Obama did just that this morning....

U.S. president clarifies Mideast vision is based on 1967 borders with mutually agreed swaps; Obama reassures U.S. commitment to Israel is 'ironclad' and says U.S. demands Hamas recognize Israel's right to exist.

Anonymous said...

Control of the high ground is VERY important when you are dealing with terrorist organizations like Hezbollah that fire mortars into Israel. It was such shelling by Syria that lead Israel to make the decision to take control of the Golan Heights.

The U.S. has the most advanced air force in the world. We have complete domination of the air space in Iraq and Afghanistan. It still doesn't stop the deaths of U.S. soldiers by small groups of al Qaeda using RPG's or IED's.

Any plan for peace in the region must accept that many Arabs hate the Jews and will continue small-scale attacks against Israel no matter what the official position of their government is.

Anonymous said...

Now Muslim POTUS Obaba says the Palestinian status should be contiguous. The Islamist in our White House is clueless.

J. Kev said...

Gene's ham-fisted, but he's right.

The bottom line is that this President has taken sides with Hamas against our oldest and closest ally in the Middle East.

Obama's showing his inner Jew hatred. Look into the policy positions of Donna Rice, his UN ambassador. Hell, listen to his pastor's comments on "the Jews."

But make no mistake: Obama would make Israel 9 miles wide, and hand over Jerusalem to a terrorist entity.

J. Kev said...

As long as there's a Likud government, Israel will be okay, even with an enemy like this one in the White House.

Recall the last land-for-peace concession Israel made: Gaza. You can remember the scenes if you try. The IDF physically removed every Jew -- many whom had been there for generations -- from the Gaza strip.

That was '05 or '06. Today, Gaza is a Muslim terror rocket base controlled by Hamas, an entity committed to Israel's desctruction.

For this government to demand concessions from Israel to Hamas is a betrayal, stunning in its audacity.

I still can not understand why so many in the American Jewish Community supported this guy's Presidential run.

J. Kev said...

4:50 --

A Jewish guy called in to Rush's show Friday. In answer to the (long-standing) question 'why are so many Jews liberal,' this guy offered a simple answer: "Most Jews in America aren't religious."

It's simplistic, and reasonable minds can differ on whether it's true. Anectdotally it makes sense from what I've seen.

My dearest friend is a Jew from Atlanta who holds both US and Israeili citizenship. His dad was liberated from a death camp at age 9. He (my friend) thinks it's more of a collectivist mindset that traces itself back to central and eastern Europe.

I don't know. What I THINK is that next election, this anti-Israel president will have a lot less Jewish money in his coffers. Votes at the polls, I can't say.

Anonymous said...

Thanks J. kev ,

You are right. I have a few Jewish friends myself.
( Not many, but a few throughout the South ). Some are ultra conservative, but most avoid any direct debate on International politics .

As I'm not Jewish, there is no way I can make any judgement on what my friends think.

Once again, I think that you right about the reduction in the traditional Jewish donations to the Democratic Party .

J. Kev said...

Thanks.

The friend I mentioned is a confidante of Bibi's. Got to meet him on my one trip to Israel in 99-2000. (He was then the former PM, having lost to Barak.)

The big issue the Labor faction was pushing then was to give back the Golan Heights to Syria. I met Bibi after spending 2 days in Galilee and touring the Golan.

Fact: When Israel took possesion of the heights after the Six-Day War in '67, the Syrians left behind a half-million Soviet-made mines. (They're almost all still there; land mine warning signs pepper the Golan.)

Today, the Golan Heights produce 40 percent of Israel's total agricultural products.

Two lessons from this:

1. Israel can never give back the Golan. It's part of Er'etz Israel now; and

2. Jews tend to produce and create, while Arabs tend to blow shit up.

Yeah, I said it.

I forgot to add that one of my Jewish buddys was at one time the ultimate "progressive ". Now she's hinting about how she can join the Tea Party Movement.

Here come the naive leftists and anti-Semites. It was only a matter of time before the racist Jewish animus in Mississippi reared its ugly head again.

Congratulations. If you're seriously equating any of these comments with anti-Semitism, you've matched Jesse Jackson and Kenneth Stokes in race-based demagoguery.

As for the traditionally leftish bent of American Jewish politics, I think it has as much to do with geography as history. Jews in the United States tend to live in large urban areas (New York, Chicago, LA, Miami, etc.), and large urban areas tend to be liberal. Most of the Jewish people I know from small towns and rural areas in Mississippi are as conservative as the average Southern Baptist.

Israel isn't being pushed to do anything on the Golan Heights right now.

The 1967 borders are being discussed insofar as they would be part of a deal with the Palestinians, not Syria (Golan's former owner).

The impression I've always gotten is that Israel is much more willing to compromise on the West Bank (excluding Jerusalem) than on Golan.

J. Kev said...

No, the Golan is not up for debate now. But if Israel gives an inch on even parts of East Jerusalem, the Muslims and the Jew-haters in this administration will press for further concessions.

Question for the group. In 1967, the West Bank -- including East Jerusalem -- belonged to whom?

Further question for the group. The PLO (forerunner to the Palestinian Authority, now majority-controlled by Hamas) was founded when?

So, if someone can answer #'s 1 & 2, how is it the West Bank is "occupied territory"?

You know, the so-called "Palestinians" (there's no such thing) rejected a 2-state solution in 1947, preferring, with their Arab brethren, to kill Jews.

They made their choice. Tough shit.

Some video from one of Israel's peace loving neighbors. WARNING: Graphic

Of course Muslim POTUS Obaba, the Islamist in our White House, doesn't see any humanitarian crisis in Syria sufficient to lob more than a $Billion dollars of cruise missiles into the country in order to change the regime.

I'm going to ask for a list of people in the administration you think qualify as "Jew-haters," along with your reasoning for applying such a strong label to them.

Thanks.

J. Kev said...

I'll start with Susan Rice. Read her paper trail over the last 25 years vis-a-vis Israel, especially with regard for what she calls the "occupied territories."

Second, the Kenyan himself. He listened to Jeremiah Wright spew antisemitic hate for 20 years. He's been complimentary of Lousi Farrakhan, referring to him with the honorific "Minister Farrakhan."

And wh but an anti-semite would demand that Israel hand over Jerusalem to Hamas? Or make the first concession?

Didn't want to take a stab at the history questions, huh?

Anderson said...

Fascinating to see people parroting a line on Obama that is completely, utterly bullshit.

When Jeffrey Goldman and Abe Foxman aren't worried, I'm not going to be more worried than they are.

Really, people, reading 100% right-wing blogs, etc. is a recipe for stupidity, just like reading 100% left-wing sources. Get out more.

Allyson said...

Gene has my vote...right on!

I appreciate the value you add here Anderson ... except when you get preachy. We're all big enough to draw our own conclusions.

Anderson said...

"We're all big enough to draw our own conclusions."

That's why I encouraged people to branch out some, as opposed to telling them what to think. Maybe I'm being meta-preachy?

Garbage in, garbage out: if you're drawing your conclusions based on a filtered set of facts, then it doesn't really matter how big you are.

Gene Simmons? Seriously? I guess Ted Nugent must not have been available. Geez.

Well, here is a joint statement that Netanyahu and Clinton put out 6 months ago:

"The Prime Minister and the Secretary agreed on the importance of continuing direct negotiations to achieve our goals. The Secretary reiterated that "the United States believes that through good-faith negotiations, the parties can mutually agree on an outcome which ends the conflict and reconciles the Palestinian goal of an independent and viable state, based on the 1967 lines, with agreed swaps, and the Israeli goal of a Jewish state with secure and recognized borders that reflect subsequent developments and meet Israeli security requirements."

http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Government/Communiques/2010/Joint_statement_PM_Netanyahu_US_Sec_Clinton_11-Nov-2010.htm

Oh my god, Netanyahu is an anti-Semite! He has thrown Israel under the bus! He's a Muslim! Why does he hate Israel??

You amateur knee-jerk Israeli-supporting yahoos are in over your heads. You need to stick to Madison County politics and leave international relations to people who know what they're talking about. Which doesn't include washed-up musicians like Gene Simmons.

J. Kev said...

Oh, by the way, since nobody -- including everyone in the mainstream media -- knows the answer:

In 1967, East Jerusalem (and all of the Old City) belonged to Transjordan. That country is now called "Jordan."

When it joined Egypt, Syria and Iraq in a war of destruction against Israel in 1967, "Transjordan" owned the Holy City and all of the West Bank.

When, along with the rest of the armies made up of illiterate Muslim savages, Jordan lost its war of aggression, it FORMALLY RENOUNCED ANY LEGAL CLAIMS TO THE WEST BANK, INCLUDING EAST JERUSALEM, in 1968.

These are objective facts, easily verifiable.

So, can anyone tell me how the West Bank is considered "occupied territory"?

I'll wait.

Forever.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
